Designing and creating was imprinted on Michelle’s soul at a very young age. She recalls balancing on her tippy toes, peering over her Dad’s massive drawing board covered with sketches and paint. Being the daughter of a professional illustrator gave her a VIP access to all things creative.

As a graduate of the Interior Design program at Iowa State University she began her career in Kansas City practicing commercial design. Never afraid of a challenge she jumped right in and over her twenty plus years of experience accumulated an impressive list of clients to include Cessna Aircraft, Children’s Mercy Hospital, University of Iowa Library, Iowa State Biomedical Engineering and Curtis Hall, Nationwide Insurance, Delta Dental of Iowa, Principal Financial…and the list goes on. Her award winning design projects span across the country.

Emerging into residential design was a natural progression for Michelle. Her keen eye for detail and friendly, approachable personality opens the doors to connect with her clients. She believes there is no such thing as a “cookie cutter” approach. Each project is started with fresh eyes, fresh ideas and thoughtful consideration of the client. Designing people’s homes should be functional yet timelessly beautiful and reflect the heart and soul of each client.

If you can’t find Michelle at the studio she can be spotted around the metro cycling on local trails, spending time with her beautiful daughters or out walking her fluffy doodle pups.
